Overview
Coach Assist ("we," "our," or "the app") is a playing time tracking app for youth sports coaches. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data.
Data You Provide
- Team information: Team names and sport type
- Player information: Player names and jersey numbers
- Parent/guardian contacts: Names, phone numbers, and email addresses (optional)
- Game data: Dates, opponents, scores, and playing time records
Data Collected Automatically
- Analytics data: Anonymous usage statistics such as which features are used, app crashes, and general engagement patterns
- Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version (for troubleshooting)
Data We Do NOT Collect
- Location data
- Photos or media
- Contacts from your device (parent info is entered manually)
- Payment information (handled entirely by Apple)
On-Device Storage
All team, player, and game data is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure data storage. This data is not uploaded to our servers.
Analytics (Firebase Analytics)
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate. This helps us improve features and fix issues. Analytics data is anonymous and cannot identify individual users.
Crash Reporting (Firebase Crashlytics)
We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to identify and fix app crashes. Crash reports include technical information about your device and the app state when a crash occurred, but do not include personal data.
Communications
When you use the "Message Team" feature, messages are sent through your device's native Messages or Mail apps. We do not have access to the content of these messages.

Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
We may share anonymous, aggregated analytics data with service providers solely to improve the app.
Children's Privacy
Coach Assist is designed for adult coaches to manage youth sports teams. The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Player information entered by coaches (names and jersey numbers) is stored locally on the coach's device and is not transmitted to us.
Data Retention
- On-device data: Retained until you delete it or uninstall the app
- Analytics data: Retained for up to 14 months per Google's standard retention policy
- Crash reports: Retained for up to 90 days
Your Rights
You can:
- Delete your data at any time by deleting teams, players, or games within the app
- Delete all data by uninstalling the app
- Opt out of analytics by disabling "Share Analytics" in your device's Settings > Privacy
Data Security
Your data is stored locally using Apple's encrypted data storage. We do not have access to your personal data.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or App Store update notes.
